Monthly Meetings

Club meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month (except December) at Woodcraft, 246 East Semoran Blvd., Casselberry, Florida  32707. Visitors are always welcome. The meetings consist of a business meeting, member show and tell followed by an auction of turning wood and other items donated by the membership (you can always find a good deal here). The main program for the evening is usually presented by one of the members, but a couple of times during the year a special guest is brought in. This years schedule is:

Central Florida Fair
The Central Florida Fair will be held Thursday April 17th through Sunday April 27th. CFW has been asked to man our area of the fair on Fridays from 6p-10p, Saturdays from 10a-10p, and Sundays 12p-10p. During these days, we will also be asked to demo at least 2 hours each day. Sign up sheets will be made available at the monthly meetings for volunteers.
 
Southern States VIII Woodturning Symposium
The 8th annual Southern States Symposium will be held April 25-27 at the Georgia Mountains Center in Gainseville, Ga. Featured demonstrators include John Mascoll of Florida, Graeme Priddle of New Zealand, Avelino Samuel of the Virgin Islands, and Betty Scarpino of Indiana. 2008 AAW Sympopsium
The 22nd Annual AAW Symposium will be held Friday, June 20 through Sunday June 22, 2008 in Richmond Va. Registration and Symposia  information can be obtained the the AAW Website. This years Symposia brings turners from around the world, including Eli Avisera, Benoit Averly, and Nick Agar. Many other turners will be presenting.
